March Is for Making!

We love creativity, exploration, and lifelong learning, which is why we're so enthusiastic about celebrating Make-It March! What better opportunity to learn a new skill or share a talent that you've practiced for years? And let's not limit what it means to be a maker. Do you make music? You're a maker! What about scientific discoveries? Then you're also a maker! Do you draw and doodle during your long Zoom meetings? You're a maker too!

Doodling is as Easy as A-B-C!

Grab your paper, pencils, and other drawing tools, and join us live on our Facebook, opens a new window page or YouTube, opens a new window channel. Doodle along or help us decide what to draw! In this program for all ages, you'll learn some tips to ignite your imagination so that you’ll never run out of drawing ideas.

March Forth! Take a Science Hike

Come along as we make scientific observations using free apps. Watch a short video about our favorite Citizen Science apps, then try them yourself on a hike outdoors or around your house. The video will be posted on our YouTube, opens a new window channel on Thursday, March 4.

3D Printing | Impresión 3D

With our 3D Printing, opens a new window with Curbside Services, opens a new window, it is easier than ever to go from a digital file to a physical model, but where do you begin? Join us to learn about free online resources to help you find or design your own 3D model. We will also showcase how to submit your 3D model to us for printing. This program is designed for beginners but more experienced users are welcome to join us as well.

We've Got Chemistry! Hands-on Science Workshop

Join us to explore hands-on science in our “We’ve Got Chemistry” workshop! We will learn about fundamental chemistry concepts through interactive experiments using household items. Led by high school volunteers, we will discover chemical reactions and chemical polarity through experiments with elephants' toothpaste and color-changing milk.

Robot Sewable Circuit Take and Make

Explore the science of electric circuits with this Take and Make Kit! Sew a robot keychain whose eyes light up when you touch its hand to its belly! Recommended for ages 9 and up and provided through a generous donation from Genetech, Inc.

Explore different beats and rhythms while making music together with Kenny and his acoustic guitar. No instrument? No worries! Clap, sing, or dance along to familiar songs that kids and families will enjoy.

Draw It! Get the Right Attitudes With Wahab Algarmi

DIY Photo Editing in Photopea

Photopea, opens a new window is a free online photo editing tool that includes many of the same features found in Photoshop. Learn how to upload, crop, remove dust specs, color tune, reduce file size, and change file formats via this free platform. JC and Chris will guide you through sample photos so you learn how to work post-processing magic on your own snapshots.
