San Mateo County Libraries and our partners - the City of Brisbane, opens a new window and the County of San Mateo, opens a new window - are pleased to announce that after years of hard work and effort, ground is about to be broken for the new Brisbane Library.
The entire community is invited to join the celebration and learn more about the project. Join Brisbane Mayor W. Clarke Conway, opens a new window and his fellow council members, San Mateo County Board of Supervisor David J. Canepa, opens a new window, Library Board Member Karen Cunningham, opens a new window, and Friends of the Brisbane Library, opens a new window as they mark the official start of the new library.

The new Brisbane Library is designed to be a community hub for all to enjoy. With popular circulating collections of books, DVDs and eMedia, to family programs, free WiFi, Teen area, and a shared Makerspace and Community Room, the new library will have something for everyone.
Construction on the new one-story 7,629 square-foot library is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2019. The existing library will remain open throughout construction.
