Make Your Own Kinetic Sand With Ricardo

Playing with sand is one of the funnest (and messiest) parts of going to the beach, so why not bring some beach into your kitchen? We'll teach you how to make this kinesthetic toy that kids will love.


Silly Symmetry With Alice

Kids will learn about symmetry by exploring the concept through creative (and sometimes silly) art! You'll need paper, markers, scissors, glue or tape, a mirror (optional), and some interesting objects from nature, like leaves or flowers.


Musical Jamboree With Kayla Marie

Kayla Marie is in the mood for singing, dancing, and playing and she hopes you are too! Join her for Musical Jamboree and bring your shaker, scarf, and a musical instrument of your choice. Don’t forget to download the lyric sheet!

Virtual Family Book Club

Children entering grades 1 and 2 and their grown-ups are invited to join a new virtual book club! Family Book Club will meet twice a month on the first and third Fridays at noon. This week we’ll discuss AstroNuts Mission One: The Plant Planet by Jon Scieszka. You can download the book using Hoopla at hoopladigital.com. Please read the book with your child before our weekly meeting and be prepared to discuss it. Grown-ups must remain present and engaged during the book club. Make a shape pizza using paper! Learn to make pizza toppings out of different shapes, then practice identifying the shapes as you create your own delicious pizza recipes. We'll also practice adding and counting to 10.


Penny Magic With Carmen
1:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Join Carmen and guest star Olivia as they gather pennies around the house and make them shine like new! They will conduct an experiment to see which acid - vinegar, lemon juice, or ketchup - best cleans the surface of a dull penny. Kids are encouraged to follow along and will need the following supplies: pennies, vinegar, lemon juice, ketchup, and any other acid in your homes.
