Guided Autobiography Writing Series

Take the time to sit down, reflect, and write about your life's journey. Everyone has a story in their life just waiting to be told!

Participants in this four-part virtual Guided Autobiography series will explore ways to share their stories, whether for themselves, their family, or a wider audience. With writing prompts and exercises that engage and stimulate memories, instructor Liz Dossa, opens a new window will inspire your creativity! Each session will have a theme, writing prompts, and exercises, as well as samples and methods to polish your own writing. While sharing your writing might be intimidating at first, Guided Autobiography builds a community of writers through supportive listening and positive feedback. No prior writing experience is required.

Liz Dossa has led a number of successful programs at Mercy Center in Burlingame, Foster City Parks and Recreation Center, and the Foster City Library.

This Guided Autobiography series will run for four biweekly sessions on Fridays (see dates below) from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Please attend the full series to get the most out of the class. Space will be limited, so please register online for all four sessions:

  • Session 1: Friday, September 25, 10:30 AM  - 12:30 PM
  • Session 2: Friday, October 9, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  • Session 3: Friday, October 23, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  • Session 4: Friday, November 6, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
