February is Library Lovers Month, and we're inviting you to share your love for libraries with us.
We want to hear from library lovers about what YOU appreciate about the library.
Share with us what makes the library special to you. Maybe it’s the thousands of books in our system? Our online resources? Our new karaoke machines? Or our makerspaces?
Do you love our children’s storytime? Our ukuleles? Our boardgames? Our bikes? The possibilities are endless to fall in love with the library!

Celebrate Library Lovers Month With Us
Head to our libraries to celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14, and Library Lovers Month all February long!
We’ll have:
- book-themed valentines you can fill out for your friends and loved ones across our libraries
- special notes you can leave with us to show your library love at all libraries
- fun, cupcake liner flowers and DIY bookmarks for your valentine at Atherton Library
- blind date with a book displays at some of our community libraries—our staff have wrapped up some recommendations so you can’t judge a book by its cover!
We’d love to see your social posts sharing your library love, hashtag it #SMCLove and tag us @SMCLibraries across Instagram, opens a new window, X, opens a new window and Facebook, opens a new window.

Ven a nuestras bibliotecas para celebrar el Día del Amor y la Amistad, el 14 de febrero, y el Mes de los Amantes de las Bibliotecas durante todo febrero.
Tendremos:
- Tarjetas del Día del Amor y la Amistad con temáticas literarias que podrán completar para sus amigos y seres queridos en nuestras bibliotecas.
- Notas especiales que nos podrán dejar para demostrar vuestro amor por todas las bibliotecas.
- Construlle flores para decorar con lineadadores de pastelitos y decora tus propios marcadores de libros para el Día del Amor y la Amistad en la biblioteca de Atherton.
- Exhibiciones de citas a ciegas con libros en alguna de nuestras bibliotecas comunitarias – nuestros bibliotecarios han envuelto algunos ejemplares que han recomendado para que no los puedan juzgar por la tapa.
