Looking for tools to support your emerging reader? Maybe you've heard about the science of reading but aren't sure what your student needs to be successful. We're beyond thrilled to introduce our Let's Read Together Kits to support learners in kindergarten through 3rd grade, and beyond, in their reading journey.
What's in a Let's Read Together Kit?
Every Let's Read Together Kit features a series of decodable books bundled with hands-on resources that allow students to practice and reinforce their phonics skills. Inside each bag, you'll find books and tools to support your child's reading journey including:
- 9-12 decodable books focusing on specific skills
- 1 phonics card game
- 1 activity guide for caregivers on how to use the kit
Each kit is checked out separately and is designed to support your child with the skill they are currently working on. The kits can be checked out for 3 weeks and can be renewed. If a skill you're working on is not currently available, feel free to place a hold on it in the meantime!

What is a decodable book?
Decodable books focus on phonics by teaching students how to associate printed letter combinations with the correct phonemes (English sounds) to correctly pronounce printed words. They are not meant to replace all reading, but give beginning readers a place to practice and develop confidence.
Who are these kits for?
These kits are for students in kindergarten to 3rd grade, or older students needing extra help, in decoding words. Kids learn best and become confident readers when they continue to practice working with phonics outside of school.
What happens if I return a Let's Read Together Kit with a damaged or missing piece?
Please alert library staff if you are returning a bag with a missing item.
