This live, virtual panel celebration will include a discussion with award-winning, notable, and new YA novelists, Natasha Díaz, I.W. Gregorio, and Leah Johnson, as well as give attendees the opportunity to ask the authors about their writing process.

1:00 PM - YANovCon Author Panel: What's It Like to Be a YA Novelist?

Join amazing award-winning, notable, and new authors Patrick Flores-Scott, Gretchen McNeil, and Katy Rose Pool to find out what it’s like to be a Young Adult novelist.

3:00 PM - YANovCon Presents: Nic Stone - You Are Infinitely POWERful

Join us as we welcome special guest Nic Stone to 2021 #YANovCon! Nic Stone is the bestselling author of young adult novels that explore race, sexuality, and romance with powerful honesty and captivating storytelling. In this lecture aimed at teenagers, educators, and aspiring writers, Stone explores how literature can impact social change and disrupt the status quo. Through critical thinking and discussion, she challenges audiences to “write the tough stuff” to embrace their inner power. Natasha Díaz, opens a new window is a born and raised New Yorker, award-winning author, and screenwriter, and currently residing in Brooklyn, NY with her tall husband and tenacious daughter. She spends most of her days writing with no pants on and alternating between E.R. and Grey’s Anatomy binges. Natasha’s scripts have placed as a quarterfinalist in the Austin Film Festival and a finalist for both the NALIP Diverse Women in Media Fellowship and the Sundance Episodic Story Lab. Her essays can be found in The Establishment and Huffington Post. Her first novel, Color Me In, is out now.
