Young Adult Novelist Convention (YANovCon) 2020

Join Us Saturday, January 25th from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM!

Our 5th annual Young Adult Novelist Convention (YANovCon) is just around the corner and will be held at the Millbrae Library. YANovCon is your exclusive connection to some of today's top authors. This free half-day celebration will include panel discussions, author hangouts, and book signings with at least twenty award-winning, notable and new YA novelists.

Not only will you get to connect with your favorite authors about their writing and publishing process, but we will also have resources on hand to help you take action on teen anxiety, especially as it relates to social media and academic pressures because #anxietyisreal.

We will also have activities at some of our branches to inspire you through rough times. During the Building Resilience with Anxiety Bracelets and Positive Postcards program, you can make an anxiety bracelet for yourself or as a gift to help provide focus and support when experiencing anxiety or create and send a postcard with a positive message to a friend or yourself. Simple acts of kindness remind us that we are supported, we are strong and can overcome any obstacle For Anxiety on the Brain, you will create a spray-painted silhouette of your head, fill it in with your thoughts, and decorate with spray-paint. Change someone's day with your words and actions.
