SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo County Libraries is partnering with the San Francisco Giants for Library Night on Monday, April 7.

In honor of the Giants’ first-ever Library Night, San Mateo County Libraries has been invited to co-host along with other Bay Area libraries, a free, pre-game community festival open to the public. The festival will feature our Makermobile and Reading Garden at the new China Basin Park next to Oracle Park.

The celebration of libraries will continue at the game as the Giants play the Cincinnati Reds.

“Libraries and baseball are both cherished American institutions,” Anne-Marie Despain, Director of San Mateo County Libraries, said. “We can’t wait to come together and celebrate both with a free community festival and SF Giants game night.”

Special game tickets are available in advance to support the libraries. Five dollars from every special ticket sold will benefit the Foundation for San Mateo County Libraries to help fund library programming throughout the County.
