Join San Mateo County Libraries on the Fable app for our newest book club title, Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi. Stamped is not just a history lesson, but also a guide for how to recognize and challenge racism today. It equips readers with the tools to understand the roots of racial inequality and empowers them to act toward solutions.
The young adult version of Kendi's title appeals to a wide audience and will hopefully encourage conversations at home. This book is designed for readers ages 12 and up and offers a great opportunity to read and learn as a family. As a banned book, Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You prompts a broader conversation beyond its contents, asking us to interrogate why censors fear this subject matter.
