Celebrate Month of the Young Child

Our libraries, opens a new window are always welcome spaces for families with young children, but in April especially, we celebrate Month of the Young Child!

Resources for Families

Our libraries offer regular services for families with young children to explore and learn!

  • All our libraries offer regular storytimes, opens a new window to help caregivers and kids to learn early literacy skills and to engage with each other socially.
  • You can also explore new places together courtesy of your library card! Each month, free passes for Bay Area museums are offered through the Discover & Go, opens a new window program.
  • In the library or at home, you can access ABC Mouse, opens a new window for age-appropriate online learning games.
  • Babies, toddlers and preschoolers learn very quickly, and they develop rapidly in a short time. First 5 of San Mateo County, opens a new window connects families to free resources and information on child development for infants through 5-year-olds.
