Stop, in the name of art! Friday, September 7th is Art Break Day, opens a new window.
Art Is for Everyone
Art Break Day is a movement to encourage people of all ages to take a little time out of their day to do a little art. It doesn't matter if you're a fine artist or a doodler or dabbler. You can work with paint or pencil, clay or the fluffy stuff Muppets are made out of. The point is: just do it! Take a break, and let your mind and hands get creative.
Art Break Day happens the first Friday of every September and was founded by the nonprofit Art is Moving, opens a new window. It's an international phenomenon, with a variety of everyday places hosting free pop-up art activities, space, and supplies. San Mateo County Libraries and Bookmobile want you to come join us as we make art together!
