The San Mateo County Libraries are pleased to announce the reopening of the Woodside Library on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
The reopening celebration will begin at 10:30 am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The excitement continues throughout the day with food, special performances and activities for all ages. There will be craft programs, children's play area, 3D printing, library tours, and appearances by Master Magician Dan Chan, local cookbook author and blogger Erin Gleeson, musical acts and other guests to be announced.
After nine months of extensive renovations, Woodside Library opens its doors to reconfigured and enhanced spaces for children and teens, a learning center/meeting room, expanded program space, and a more efficient layout for collections. Larger restrooms, improved disability access, and seismic retrofitting are a few of the other upgrades.
This project is the result of years of collaborative efforts among the San Mateo County Libraries, the Town of Woodside, opens a new window, and the Friends of the Woodside Library.
The Woodside Library is located at 3140 Woodside Road, Woodside, CA 94062. Hours for the library are: Monday-Thursday, 11 am-7 pm; Friday-Saturday, 11 am-5 pm; and closed Sunday.
