San Mateo County Libraries are looking for aspiring and successful entrepreneurs to participate in our exciting new business development workshop program, CO.STARTERS.

CO.STARTERS is a nationally renowned platform that helps communities grow local business. This nine-week workshop program equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn business ideas into action. Experienced entrepreneurs share their experience starting and running a business. The CO.STARTERS cohort will kick off in May 2016, operating out of the Belmont Library.

Small business remains one of the fundamental economic drivers for local economies and job creation, but these smaller-scale startups have not received the same level of support as their high-growth counterparts. San Mateo County Libraries and CO.STARTERS aims to narrow that gap.

The CO.STARTERS program has been adopted by more than a dozen entrepreneurial organizations in cities around the country, including Phoenix; Cincinnati; Nashville, Tenn; Lakeland, Fla.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Chattanooga.
