Take Action: Social Justice Resources

Dear Community,

All of us here at San Mateo County Libraries are deeply saddened by the recent tragedies impacting our communities, especially in a time when so many are being impacted by the challenges of the coronavirus. We continue to be dedicated to being a positive force for our communities and standing up for equity, inclusion and social justice. To our communities of color, we stand with you.

The unique diversity and rich cultural background of staff and those we serve, inspire and drive our services. The recent events have reaffirmed our commitment to education, lifelong learning and community dialogue. As part of that commitment, we have compiled a list of recommended books for adults, teens, kids and for talking to children about race and social justice.

Though our physical libraries may be temporarily closed we are always open and welcoming to all. We're still here for you.

Sincerely,
San Mateo County Libraries
