Stand Up: Social Justice Reading Lists

These past weeks have shown a spotlight on the tremendous injustices happening across our country. We stand in solidarity with our communities who are voicing their deep frustration and who are standing up for equity, inclusion, and social justice. To create an inclusive environment for all, San Mateo County Libraries is reaffirming its commitment to education and community dialogue around race and social justice by making a selection of titles available, opens a new window without holds through our online resource Hoopla. Asian American and Pacific Islander Reading Lists

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are important and valued members of our local communities. Their heritage and contributions have not only shaped the Bay Area's history, but also our nation's. For those who wish to express solidarity with Asian American and Pacific Islanders, reading stories about their experiences is one small but important step you can take. These stories center on Asian American and Pacific Islander authors or characters in general, while some deal specifically with the social justice issues they face.
