Roadmapping Our Libraries’ Makerspaces

Calling all makers, learners, tinkerers, and builders! We invite the public to join us on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 7pm at the Belmont Library to help us plan for future makerspaces and digital media labs in our libraries. As the Maker Movement, opens a new window grows, San Mateo County Libraries continually strive to develop innovative programs for makers of all ages. Our makerspaces will encourage creative failures and teach timeless skills through critical thinking, problem solving, STEAM activities, opens a new window, access to technology, and fostering curiosity every step of the way.

Gyroscope Inc., opens a new window will lead this public community engagement workshop to bring together an inclusive network of makers who will set the course for our libraries' makerspaces going forward. Come ready to share your passion for making. All ages are welcome and light refreshments will be available.
