On June 12 at 5:00 PM, the old Half Moon Bay Library closed its doors forever in anticipation of construction of the site’s new library. The new Half Moon Bay Library will be a modern, inviting, and engaging facility, designed with the needs of today’s digital community in mind. More than a book depository, today’s libraries have a wider focus, including community gatherings, events and activities, internet connections, multipurpose areas, and literacy sections. Construction will begin later this summer and the new library is planned to open in 2018.
Following the closure of the old library, staff opened a temporary library at Shoreline Station, opens a new window where we are open 7 days a week with regular open hours.
See you at our new temporary library at Shoreline Station!
