This year Lil Nas X made headlines. First there was the Billboard controversy over his hit single "Old Town Road," then in June, Nas came out.
So let us celebrate Lil Nas X this National Coming Out Day.
Everyone knows we celebrate Pride in June. Less well known is that for the past 31 years the LGBTQ community and its allies have celebrated National Coming Out Day every October 11.
National Coming Out day started in 1988 as a positive celebration that encourages all of us to share our truth with the world.
