The Pacifica Libraries, Sanchez and Sharp Park, are piloting a county library program to encourage you to get outdoors. You can check out a hiking backpack for three weeks! The backpack includes binoculars, a magnifying glass, a compass, field guides and trail maps of Mori Point, opens a new window, Devil's Slide, opens a new window and San Pedro Valley Park, opens a new window.
In 2018, hiking backpacks will be available at all San Mateo County Libraries with location-specific hiking maps in each backpack. We are fortunate to have many amazing hikes within miles of each library branch.
Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for you to get outdoors and use one of our backpacks - we have a hike scheduled on Saturday, October 21 at San Pedro Valley Park in Pacifica.
