The air is a little cooler and the summer sun is fading. The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching soon! The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or the Mooncake Festival, is a harvest celebration, enjoyed all throughout Asia and is a time for family reunions, giving thanks, and eating plenty of mooncakes.
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 29, but we'll celebrate all month at San Mateo County Libraries. We hope you can join us!
Explore your creativity by painting a Watercolor Moon or practice your characters at a Calligraphy Workshop. Get crafty making Hand-Made Paper Lanterns or watch and learn at a Taichi Workshop and Demo. Curious about the myth behind the festival? Join us for Moon Stories with Eth-Noh-Tec.
