2018 Mid-Autumn Festival

Happy Mid-Autumn! This year, Mid-Autumn takes place on Monday, September 24th! The Mid-Autumn Festival is honored all throughout Asia, celebrating family, harvest and the full moon. San Mateo County Libraries invite you to join us and celebrate with paper lantern-making, Chinese brush painting, Chinese Button Knot bracelet crafts, moon cakes, and more!

We're also bringing live music performances with Creative World Music Ensemble, whose music is a fusion of cultures and techniques, as well as introduction to Chinese Traditional Music by Tranquil Resonance Studio, opens a new window. This introduction will compare the guqin and guzheng instruments!

Join us at the Foster City Library on Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 PM for a traditional Chinese Opera performance! The Bay Area Chinese Opera Association will present and discuss a number of opera themes, props, and costumes.
