We have an upcoming event we think will be a home run with library lovers—Library Night with the San Francisco Giants on Monday, April 7!
In honor of the Giants’ first-ever Library Night, we’re excited to debut our new San Francisco Giants-themed library cards. And that’s not all, San Mateo County Libraries will also co-host a pre-game community festival with our Makermobile and reading garden right outside Oracle Park.
Come catch a good book and hang out with other Giants enthusiasts as we get ready to celebrate Library Night at the big game as the Giants take on the Cincinnati Reds.
SF Giants Tickets to Support the Libraries
Special tickets, opens a new window for the April 7 SF Giants game against the Cincinnati Reds are available to support the libraries. Five dollars from every special ticket sold will benefit the Foundation for San Mateo County Libraries, opens a new window.
During the game, look for a special shoutout to San Mateo County Libraries and neighboring Bay Area libraries!

Before the game, join us in San Francisco’s new China Basin Park to check out our Makermobile and reading garden.
We’ll have:

- eBook Stop with digital books to borrow
- Maker demos with our 3D printers
- Food trucks, live music and more!
No tickets are needed to join us at the community festival in China Basin Park! This is a free, public event. China Basin Park is a short walk from Oracle Park, just across McCovey Cove.

We’re releasing special edition Giants library cards for new, eligible residents and existing San Mateo County Libraries cardholders!
Limited edition cards are available at our 13 community libraries on a first come, first served basis to eligible residents.

How do I get a San Francisco Giants library card?
Eligible residents can visit their nearest San Mateo County Libraries location to sign up for a new card or replace their old card with a limited-edition SF Giants card.
Who is eligible for a Giants-themed San Mateo County Libraries card?
Residents of the cities of Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Millbrae, Pacifica, Portola Valley, San Carlos, Woodside and the unincorporated areas of San Mateo County, including North Fair Oaks, are eligible for San Mateo County Libraries cards, including the Giants-themed library card. The cards are not available to residents served by city or community college libraries.
