Teen Tech Week, opens a new window is a special time for libraries to showcase all of the great digital resources and services that are available to help teens succeed in school and prepare for college and 21st century careers.
This year's theme, “Libraries are for Creating,” encourages teens to take advantage of all the great digital tools offered through the library to become content creators, and to leverage library resources to share out their creations, whether they be podcasts, videos, apps, games, wearable tech, or some other fabulous invention or creation! Visit San Mateo County Libraries between March 4th - 10th and you’ll find a wide variety of technology focused programming throughout the County. Learn how to use the Silhouette Cameo 2 to create intricate and custom designs on cardstock or vinyl, build light-following robots, create a stop motion video, or try one of the numerous other tech-based programs at a library near you!
Can’t make it into the library this week? We have technology that you can check out and take home or for you to learn how to use in the library. We have a music station at Millbrae, record players at multiple locations, 3D printers at every location, including the Bookmobile, and tech classes everywhere!
