Submit a Program Idea

Thank you for your interest in library programming! Library staff evaluate and reply to those proposals that most closely meet library goals and priorities. Due to the high volume of proposals received, our staff may not be able to respond to every submission. However, submissions that are not accepted are kept on file for future consideration. We look forward to reading your proposal.

San Mateo County Libraries welcomes event, class, performance, and presentation ideas that strengthen our community by creating an inclusive sense of place and environment for learning, and that ignite growth through transformative experiences.

Individuals and organizations interested in partnering with the library on systemwide programs are invited to submit a proposal according to one or more of the following goals from the library's Strategic Plan. Our library system includes 13 community libraries in San Mateo County.

  • Engage children and families in high-quality, research-based learning experiences
  • Bridge the digital divide by building skills and providing access to technology
  • Develop creative experiences and services that have measurable results
  • Grow a culture of learning and participation

All library experiences are open to the public, free of charge, and are free of commercial advertising and direct solicitation. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please complete the form below:
