Many of us are entering 2026 with the intention to nurture our emotional, mental and physical health. Whatever your wellness goals, you might feel frustrated when packed schedules, tight budgets, limited mobility and more present barriers to taking care of yourself. San Mateo County Libraries is here to help with a wide range of free, virtual and in-person wellness programs that can help you connect to your community and yourself.
Virtual Yoga and Meditation
Virtual Meditation: Each month, a meditation expert invites you to learn more about how meditation calms the mind, then leads a short meditation practice. Cultivate calm from the comfort of your home! You're also welcome to ask questions and share your meditation experience at the end of most sessions. Upcoming topics include:
- Begin the New Year With the Healing Power of Meditation
- Connecting to the Love Within Through Meditation
- Meditation for Stress Reduction
Gentle Chair Yoga: Every other Thursday from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM, log on for this accessible, stress-reducing yoga practice.
Vinyasa Yoga: These grounding and rejuvenating Vinyasa-inspired virtual flow classes take place on alternating Thursdays from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
You can also find recordings of both yoga programs on our YouTube channel!
