Remembering Tomie dePaola

We were sad to hear the news that the well-known children's book writer and illustrator, Tomie dePaola, opens a new window, recently passed away at the age of 85. dePaola wrote or illustrated more than 270 books and received numerous awards during his long, illustrative (pun intended) career.

You might know Tomie dePaola from his series of books about Strega Nona, a character based on his grandmother, or his memorable holiday and Irish books.
