Why Learn to Play the Ukulele?
They're fun to play and easy to learn. You'll be able to play a song or two in a single afternoon. They're portable; you can bring them to a party or the park. They're social; there are ukulele jam groups throughout the Bay Area and they welcome beginners. Playing an instrument reduces stress and is good for the brain.
We are kicking off this awesome addition to our collection with a celebration of ukuleles at the Belmont Library on Wednesday, June 21 at 6:00 PM in partnership with the Peninsula Ukulele Group, opens a new window! There will be a brief lesson before a great sing-and-play-along session.
