Library Day with the San Francisco Giants is back!
Join San Mateo County Libraries on Sunday, April 26, for a day where the love of reading meets the love of baseball.
San Mateo County Libraries will co-host a pre-game community celebration with our maker activities and reading garden in San Francisco’s China Basin Park, located just across McCovey Cove from Oracle Park. It's a chance to connect with neighbors, celebrate our communities and share the joy of reading together.
Then, the celebration continues as the Giants take on the Miami Marlins at 1:05 PM!
Your Tickets Can Support Our Libraries
Special tickets, opens a new window for the Sunday, April 26, afternoon game are available to support the libraries. We're expecting this game to sell out, so we recommend grabbing your tickets in advance. $5 from every special ticket sold will benefit the Foundation for San Mateo County Libraries, opens a new window.
During the game, keep an eye out for a special shoutout to San Mateo County Libraries and neighboring Bay Area libraries!
Join Our Pre-Game Celebration
Before the game, join us at San Francisco's China Basin Park to celebrate libraries across the Bay Area. The pre-game celebration begins at 10:00 AM and is open to everyone, no tickets required.
Highlights:
- Explore our maker activities and engage in a fun family project
- Swap your library card for a special Giants-edition card, and collect library cards from around the Bay Area to access all the resources we collectively have to offer
- Recharge in the reading garden, a vibrant and welcoming space to relax before the game
The community event is free and open to all. China Basin Park is just a short walk from Oracle Park, right across McCovey Cove—and for those joining us at the game, we'll see you inside!
