Congratulations to Our First COHS Graduate!
On November 22nd, 2017, San Mateo County Libraries celebrated the accomplishments of Heather Robbins, our first COHS graduate!
In early 2017 Heather discovered COHS while searching for educational opportunities online. As an adult learner, Heather had wanted to earn her diploma ever since dropping out of high school.
Heather learned she could earn an accredited high school diploma through an adult learning program sponsored by San Mateo County Libraries, and obtain a certificate in a high-growth career as well.
It took Heather exactly nine months to complete the COHS program - from the moment she first inquired about the program, to the day she officially obtained her Accredited Diploma and Career Certificate in Homeland Security.
“I am so thankful for the opportunity to complete my high school education! I wanted to complete high school ever since dropping out. I accomplished my goal by dedication and hard work,” stated Heather upon completion of the COHS program. “I would like to say thanks to my academic coach and my support team.”
Heather's plans for the future include studying criminal justice through an online bachelor's program, and eventually a career in government cyber security.
