Join us as the Congresswoman presents her new book, Undaunted: Surviving Jonestown, Summoning Courage, and Fighting Back and answers questions from the audience at our Millbrae and Portola Valley Libraries. Hundreds came together at the last two Author Visits so make sure to arrive early because you won’t want to miss out!

Congresswoman Jackie Speier was named one of Newsweek Magazine’s 150 Fearless Women of the World and represents California’s Fourteenth Congressional District, opens a new window. She will visit our libraries on May 4th to speak about her collective experiences as a widow, mother, congresswoman, and a fighter. Come listen to her inspiring and powerful memoir of surviving the Jonestown massacre, and learn how her story has shaped her into becoming a tireless advocate for human and women’s rights.
