The Book Bikes Are Coming!

What Is a Book Bike?

Think of a book bike as a mini mobile library on three wheels. The wheels are essential; we ride out with books, WiFi and programs, on a mission to spread the love of reading, learning and literacy. At San Mateo County Libraries, we have a fleet of six book bikes that staff use to bring the library to you!

Where Can I Find a Book Bike?

I'm so glad you asked! Our book bikes will be out en masse for Bicycle Sunday, opens a new window, August 13 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Look for us - you can't miss us - and say hello. We will have cool treats to beat the heat, plus giveaway books for the kiddos, so don't be shy!
