San Mateo County Libraries is excited to announce that our library patrons can now stream video books through Weston Woods Plus!
This collection includes video versions of some newer titles and time-tested classics: Readers will be delighted to find newer works like Andrea Wang’s Watercress next to classics like Don Freeman’s Corduroy.
In addition to titles in English, readers will find some bilingual titles in Mandarin and Spanish that will show the English and Mandarin or Spanish text side by side.
There are no holds or wait times, and emergent readers can choose the Read-Along mode that highlights text as it’s being read aloud. There are plenty of tools for all learners, with closed captioning and descriptive video options in English. There are even some lesson plans for parents and teachers.
