Immerse Yourself In Regency Era Intrigue
"I realized that what I really wanted to write was an historical suspense novel with a love story in it but with room for the sort of intricate suspense plot I’ve always loved in mysteries and the intricately-detailed social and political historical background I’ve always loved in historical fiction. That was the beginning of the Malcolm & Suzanne Rannoch books." —Tracy Grant, Interviewed by Susan Spann, opens a new window
The Southcott Jewels is the latest installment of Grant's beloved Rannoch Fraser Mysteries, a series following the perilous adventures of married spies Melanie and Malcolm. Or, at least they used to be spies—at the outset of this new novel, they are attempting to find peace in retirement. Where better to relax than the Duke of Bamford's country estate?
Except the Duke and Duchess have a shock in store for their guests—they are flouting Regency convention and planning to divorce. And if that doesn't sow enough tension in the Rannoch's would-be vacation, why not add a secret passage, stolen war documents and nefarious plotting. But whose? Can Melanie and Malcolm untangle the mystery in time to prevent an impending disaster?

"Beneath a Silent Moon is a very engaging read. I have enjoyed each of my trips to this version of Regency England, and I highly recommend this to anyone who likes historical mysteries and romantic suspense. If you’re new to the series, I would recommend starting either with one of the opening novellas or with the excellent Vienna Waltz." —All About Romance, opens a new window
