Dr. Rupa Marya is a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where she practices and teaches internal medicine. Join us as she discusses the Covid pandemic and the shocking racial disparities in its impact during her author talk on Saturday, March 8, at Portola Valley Library.
Meet Kate Schatz & Make Art Like Frida Kahlo! 🎨
Join us in meeting Kate Schatz and create your own Frida Kahlo-inspired self-portrait! Kate is an author, activist, public speaker, writing teacher and queer feminist mama who's been talking, writing and teaching about race, gender, social justice and equity for many years. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the Rad Women book series, including Rad American Women A-Z, Rad Women Worldwide and Rad American History A-Z.
Holi Celebrations 🌈
Let us celebrate Holi with music, dance and poetry. Led by Purvi Jejurkar, Pagrav Dance Studio will present Bharatanatyam and Bollywood Indian dances. Following our celebration of Holi, join us outside as we welcome the beginning of spring with the Indian Festival of Colors!
