Are You a Fan of K-Pop?

America is getting obsessed with K-Pop. In September, the South Korean boy band INFINITE became the first K-Pop musicians to top the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists chart. They achieved this thanks to a video of them practicing the choreography for their catchy single, Last Romeo. After their video went live on YouTube the single skyrocketed to the #1 spot on the chart.

Not Familiar With K-Pop?

K-Pop is an abbreviation of Korean pop, a modern form of South Korean pop music covering a range of styles including dance-pop, pop ballad, electropop, R&B and Hip Hop music. It’s characterized by a mixture of Western sounds with an Asian aspect of performance.

K-Pop at the Library

The Library offers a wide range of K-Pop music you can check out. Some popular albums are Lion Heart and Exodus.

The San Carlos Library is also having a K-Pop Party with food, karaoke and music on Wednesday, December 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This would be a great time for you to enjoy K-Pop if you are a current fan or a new fan. You'll get to meet a lot of other K-Pop fans and make new friends.

Already a K-Pop Fan?

K-pop fans, are you pleased with the 2016 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) results? Did your idol(s) take home a grant prize? Did your favorite group crush the stage with a breathtaking performance? Did you go to CL's recent concert in SF?
