Join Us For the Solar Eclipse!

Hello! See what's happening at our libraries

Join San Mateo County Libraries as we experience the solar eclipse on the morning of Monday, April 8.

San Mateo County won’t see a total solar eclipse—which is a brief moment when the moon completely blocks the sun—but we will have a chance to enjoy a partial eclipse from 10:13 AM to 12:15 PM.

We are excited to offer free eclipse glasses, distributed from our library locations on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Be sure to check out our solar eclipse resources to prepare for April 8!
