Happy holidays and a joyful New Year from all of us at San Mateo County Libraries! 2025 marked the first year of our new Strategic Plan, bringing new energy and exciting possibilities for the years ahead. Throughout this year, we expanded and enriched our programs and spaces, keeping literacy at the center of our work and embracing inclusive, culturally responsive experiences for every age. Above all, we focused on creating moments where everyone in our community feels welcome and valued. I am continually inspired by the dedication and creativity of library staff, the strong partnership with our Foundation and Friends of the Libraries, and the enthusiasm and support of the people we serve. It is a privilege to be surrounded by so many who care deeply about our communities. As the season unfolds, we hope it brings you peace, warmth and meaningful moments of connection.
