- The library will be open during its regular hours on Wednesday, May 15, and on Saturday, May 18
- Closed from Sunday, May 19, through Monday, June 3 Library and book drop closures are scheduled. If these dates are adjusted, we will send an updated notice
Thank you for your continued patience as we make progress on construction. If you need library services in the meantime, we will be ready to welcome you nearby at Pacifica Sharp Park Library. If you'd like to have your holds moved to the Pacifica Sharp Park Library, please contact Customer Care by Friday, May 17. The new Pacifica Sanchez Library Outpost will be the first for San Mateo County Libraries. A 24-hour, automated library vending hub, the Library Outpost will offer a curated collection of over 300 books and media, available anytime. This project is part of our continued effort to broaden access to library materials and foster community engagement. New Library Outposts won't replace the services of the Bookmobile or community libraries, instead, they'll complement and extend library services. In partnership with the City of Pacifica, we look forward to celebrating this new addition with a grand opening to come. Plans for future Library Outposts throughout San Mateo County modeled after the Pacifica Library Outpost are underway. We will share any additional closure dates as soon as they are scheduled.
